# What is CalSG?

[CalSG](https://cal.gov.sg/) is a self-service appointment scheduling tool built for the Singapore public service. It lets public officers set up bookable events so anyone can book directly without back-and-forth over email or phone. 

Bookings update automatically as they come in, and CalSG can verify a booker's identity through Singpass if your event needs that.

#### Who's Using It

* Financial counseling
* Medical centre bookings
* Staff engagement sessions
* Course registrations
* Facilities bookings

CalSG is approved for data classified up to **Restricted** and **Sensitive (Normal)**.

Don't use CalSG to collect anything above these thresholds, and check with your agency if you are unsure.
